U.S. Direct Real Estate

EII is one of the few US-based organizations to provide investors with real estate services covering the acquisition and ownership of US real estate properties as well as the management of publicly traded real estate securities portfolios.

In the US, real estate assets under management total $1.7 billion, and are comprised of value-add and core commercial real estate.  The value-add strategy has focused on office buildings located in central business districts being revitalized.  Core investments include office, residential and retail properties in Eastern, Southeastern and Southwestern submarkets.

The majority of investments are held in partnerships structured by EII with REITs or privately owned real estate companies. Over the last five years, EII has sold over $1 billion of its real estate holdings to take advantage of historically high valuations.
